U.S. Robots Earns Customs Certification

Dec. 9, 2004

U.S. Robotics announced that it had recently earned C-TPAT (Customs - Trade Partnership Against Terrorism) certification from U.S. Customs and Border Protection, a division of the Department of Homeland Security.

C-TPAT is a joint government-business initiative to build cooperative relationships that strengthen the overall global supply chain and border security.

"With this certification, our customer base can be confident that we will receive import and export priority for a safe and more efficient delivery of U.S. Robotics products," said Les Taylor, director, global supply chain for U.S. Robotics. "We will continue our efforts to secure our supply chain against possible compromise; communicate our efforts to our business partners, and maintain a high level of compliance in all customs-related areas."

As a C-TPAT member, U.S. Robotics will receive several benefits, including a reduced level of cargo exams, Customs-sponsored anti-terrorism training seminars and the sharing of information and best practices of other compliant companies.
