SIAC to Present on Alarm Training, Community Cooperation at ADI Expos

May 27, 2005
Presentations will be held at 15 North American stops of the expo series

The Security Industry Alarm Coalition, better known as SIAC, will be at 15 of the ADI expos in 2005, presenting information on alarm training and how to create cooperative relationships between the community and local law enforcement.

SIAC, which primarily deals with false alarm ordinances, will be presenting information on how to reduce false alarms, promoting such things as higher standards for equipment, enhanced call verification (ECV) programs, and additional training for alarm users and law enforcement responders.

“Tom Polson, president of ADI, is giving us a great opportunity to inform alarm companies about the resources available to alarm users, police executives, and company managers,” said Stan Martin, the executive director of SIAC, in a prepared statement. “Security alarms play a critical role in public safety, and they work most effectively when everybody involved utilizes the best alarm management practices available.”
