Atlanta-based Tri-S Security Corporation made the announcement on Thursday that it is planning on acquiring a firm that has larger revenues than its own self.
The firm, which was not named, is said to have revenues of over $30 million and is involved in a variety of security service markets, including guard services, alarm monitoring, video monitoring, alarm sales and installation, and GPS monitoring services.
The acquisition isn't a closed deal; as of now the companies have only signed a non-binding letter of intent for Tri-S to make the acquisition. Tri-S says it will now be fully investigating the company's assets, operations and the acquisition terms, and a statement from the company said that the closing of the acquisition, if it follows through, would likely occur in the third quarter of 2005.
