Michael Pessina named president of Lutron

35-year company veteran tapped to lead lighting solutions firm

Lighting solutions manufacturer Lutron on Friday announced that is has named company veteran Michael W. Pessina as president.

According to a statement, Pessina has held several high-level executive positions during his 35-year career with the company beginning with his appointment to senior vice president in 2000 and then to executive vice president and chief operating officer in 2002. He most recently served as president of Lutron's office of product development, which he was appointed to in 2009.

Pessina is a member of the Association of Manufacturing Excellence (AME), the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM), the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and a member of the Board of Governors of the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA).

He also holds a B.S.E.E from Lafayette College and an MBA from Lehigh University. For more information about
