Mission Impossible-Style Security Cases for Belgium?

Company's interior minister reportedly in talks to make self-destructing briefcases mandatory for security transport vehicles

Ananova.com is reporting that Belgium may be introducing the possibility of "self-destructing briefcases" to security transportation vans.

According to the report, the company's Interior Minister Patrick Dewael has been discussing this possibility with security companies.

Annanova also reported that Brink's spokesperson Maxime Vanden Daele said the company was supportive of the idea -- and that the company hoped the government might be able to "make the use of such cases compulsory."

If accepted, the cases could be in Belgium by 2009.

The discussion follows a recent hit in Sweden in which a Securitas financial transport van was attacked by armed men. See earlier story.
