The National Intelligence Reform Act may be changed by two amendments filed by senators

The National Intelligence Reform Act (S.2845) may be changed by two amendments filed by senators. The bill itself addresses intelligence changes arising from the 9/11 terrorist attack on the USA.

The first amendment would require the Secretary of Homeland Security to develop a detailed plan within one year to track hazardous materials in transit, to prevent hijacking of hazardous materials and recover lost or stolen trucks.

The second amendment revives a previous plan to increase chemical plant security. Details of the requirements for security enhancement are given.
