L.A. Considers Adding Video Recording after Highway Shootings

April 29, 2005
Increased patrols and video surveillance of area roadways are considered as response

Following a rash of shooting son Los Angeles highway in March and April, L.A. authorities are responding to what could be the start of an alarming trend.

Most of the shootings are credited by some as outbursts related directly to frustrations with gridlock, but whether it's ordered hits or simply enraged drivers, the area police authorities are planning a response that would take the shootings very seriously.

Besides adding more patrols, the authorities are reportedly mulling the idea of adding video recording to devices to current traffic cameras.
