Association signs three-year agreement to co-locate show with electronic house show

The Alarm Association of Florida (AAF) is linking arms with the Electronic House Expo (EHX) for their 2006 tradeshow.

The AAF will be co-locating their annual show starting next year at the EHX Spring Show that's held in Orlando next spring from March 28-April 1. The arrangement has been formed for three years, and will hopefully provide a better time than some previous AAF shows, most notably the 2004 show which was hit by Hurricane Charley.

According to EHX show promoters, the AAF will be the sponsoring the Electronic Security Pavilion and will be presenting training courses during the tradeshow. With a normal draw of approximately 500 attendees, the addition of the AAF will be a notable inclusion of security-focused home systems installers to EHX 2006.

Electronic House Expo's fall show, held in California this year, has already partnered with the California Alarm Association.

The show has been steadily trying to change its image from being solely a home A/V show to one that includes additional focus on electronic-based home systems like security.

The Alarm Association of Florida is online at www.fla-alarms.org. Their 2005 show is scheduled for Orlando from Sept. 7-10.
