Tape that had evidence of theft was stolen along with $100 in cash from dollar store

One customer was shot in the hand and another pistol-whipped when two robbers stormed into a dollar store in Miami Monday morning, police said. ''They took over the entire store and terrorized the customers,'' said police spokesman William Schwartz of the 9 a.m. attempted hold-up at Family Dollar Store, 1085 NW 36th St. After attacking the handful of customers, the robbers grabbed nearly $100 from the register, along with the tape from the store's security camera - then ran out of the store. A quick-thinking customer called police from his cellphone and the robbers were quickly arrested in the neighborhood by Miami police.

As they ran, they had dropped their loot, police said. The suspects' names have not been released. The customers' injuries were not life-threatening.
