GarrettCom, a California-based maker of industrial networking products, announced this week that it will become an associated product brand of its parent company Belden.
As an associated product brand, Belden said in a statement that GarrettCom will be fully integrated into its global organization with access to their entire signal transmission product portfolio. Belden acquired GarrettCom in December 2010.
"Making GarrettCom a Belden brand further strengthens Belden's strategy of providing end-to-end connectivity from the sensor to the IT department," said Gary Wiegmann, president, Industrial Solutions Division, Belden Americas."With an integrated sales force, both GarrettCom and Belden sales channels will be able to provide broader and more integrated solutions to our customers."
The company said that this move will also enhance GarrettCom's reputation and that its current and future customers will benefit from Belden's global customer service and support.
