Guard services provider AlliedBarton announced on Monday that it has been accepted as an associate member of the American Chemistry Council (ACC).
AlliedBarton, which was voted on and approved for membership along with 14 chemical manufacturers by the ACC's board of directors, will become the first guard services firm to be named a member of the organization.
"Our ACC membership speaks to our expertise in this industry," said Richard A. Michau, CPP, vice president of chemical/petrochemical at AlliedBarton. "Our commitment to safety and security aligns with the ACC's Responsible Care Program, the chemical industry's world-class performance initiative. This is an industry where safety and security are critical priorities every day, and industry-specific expertise is essential to successful security programs."
