Tri-Ed/Northern Video to host technology roadshows, IP tech tours

Tri-Ed/Northern Video Distribution announced this week that it be hosting Technology Roadshows and IP Video Tech Tour trainings at locations across the country in the coming months.

The Technology Roadshows are large, one-day events that include an IP training class, a variety of manufacturer training seminars and a tabletop expo that runs throughout the entire day to give participants the flexibility of attending training or networking with manufacturers.

"These one day events go a long way in educating our dealers on the rapidly changing technologies taking place in our industry, particularly within the video security market," said Tri-Ed/Northern Video Director of Network Solutions Jeffrey Stout in a statement. "The Roadshows draw very large crowds and are testament to the need for continual education and training. Tri-Ed / Northern Video is pleased to meet that need."

The IP Video Tech Tours are free, one-day events held in Tri-Ed / Northern Video branch locations. This year's Level III curriculum covers topics such as video resolution, illumination, Ethernet transmission, surge suppression, and recording platforms. Attendees are welcome to attend the IP training class and then network with supplier sponsors and demo products during a tabletop expo.

"Our IP trainings are meeting a critical need for our customers and enabling them to compete in the IP arena," Stout said.

Upcoming Technology Roadshow dates and locations include Houston, Texas, on May 3 and Anaheim, Calif., on May 17. Additional roadshows will also be coming to Philadelphia in July, the New York metro area in August, and to Washington, D.C. in September.
