Company bolsters sales team to meet increased demand

German-based surveillance solutions maker Mobotix announced on Wednesday that it saw a more than 30 percent sales increase in the Americas in the last quarter.

To help meet the growing demand for the company’s products in the region, the company has expanded its North American sales team with the addition of Francisco Peral and Derek Martinez.

Peral, who formerly served as an independent sales representative and consultant for Genetec and Ionodes, has been appointed business development manager and will focus on the Caribbean, Latin America and Mexico. Martinez, who formerly served as an industry sales professional with UTC Fire and Security, has also been appointed as a business development manager and will spearhead sales in the northwestern U.S. and northwestern Canada.

"MOBOTIX has established a solid footprint in North America and we are excited to be able to expand our reach as the market embraces video surveillance solutions that deliver the best image quality and processing power while continuing to be cost effective," said Steve Gorski, General Manager of Mobotix. "The addition of these two seasoned sales professionals will further drive MOBOTIX solutions as the the ideal choice for IP video security systems."
