Thomasville, N.C. police seek collaboration with businesses to increase security

City's police department to discuss creation of 'Uptown Thomasville Security Network'

According to a story published by the Thomasville Times, police in Thomasville, N.C. want to collaborate with local businesses in an effort reduce crime and increase security in the area.

At a meeting scheduled for June 18, police officials will reportedly discuss the potential creation of an "Uptown Thomasville Security Network," which would seek to increase communication between law enforcement and business owners in the community.

"Basically, we're just setting a communication network between the businesses and the police department," Lt. David Tilley told the publication. "We want to keep the lines of communication open with each other to try and let everybody know what's going on."
