'Executive Management Professionals Group' to offer networking opportunities to industry leaders

The Electronic Security Association recently announced that it is launching a new Executive Management Professionals (EMP) Group for strategic and financial leaders at security integration and monitoring firms.

According to a statement, the professional group will provide industry leaders with networking opportunities and enable them to share information and ideas on a wide variety of topics including:

  • Company Valuation
  • Financing
  • Business Model Development
  • Mergers & Acquisitions
  • Human Capital Development
  • Executive Leadership
  • Change Management

The ESA has set a goal of growing membership to 300 individuals by the time of the group’s inaugural in-person meeting at the ESA Leadership Summit in Orlando in February. The group will also meet in-person at ESX 2013 in Nashville in June. Bi-monthly webinars will also provide another connection point for members.

The ESA said that the group’s products will include; an annual ESA Executive Issues Survey of Members; ESA’s Executive Management Insights quarterly publication; an online resource center for executive managers in electronic security companies; seminar and general sessions at the ESA Leadership Summit; and, The Business Development & Management Track at the ESX show.

Leading the EMPs will be chair Dee Ann Harn, CEO of San Jose, Calif.-based RFI Enterprises, Inc. and vice chair Michael Pope, president of Safety Technologies, Inc./Audio Video Interiors of Cleveland, Ohio.

"I’m honored and excited to be helping build the new EMP group," said Harn. "As someone new to the CEO’s role at RFI, I clearly see the benefit of the business resources, education programs and networking opportunities contemplated for the group."

"I’m looking forward to working with Dee Ann, fellow members and staff to add this valuable new dimension to ESA’s suite of programs and services," said Pope.
