Following its official launch earlier this year, the ESA of Florida, which is the official Electronic Security Association-charted chapter in the state, announced recently that it will be hosting its inaugural event later this week in Fort Lauderdale.
According to a statement, the event will be a legislative dinner featuring Ken Hoffman, chairman of the Electrical Contractors’ Licensing Board, and will take place at Ruth’s Chris Steak House located at 2525 North Federal Highway on Sept. 20 at 6 p.m.
"We're excited to kick off the activities of ESA of Florida with this legislative dinner," said Steve Paley, president of Rapid Security Solutions LLC and chairman of the ESA of Florida steering committee. "We're encouraging everyone interested in helping to grow the security integration and monitoring industry in Florida to attend."
Hoffman will discuss licensing requirements in the state of Florida and the function of the ECLB. Updates on the ESA of Florida and the ESA Leadership Summit, which will be help in Orlando in February, will also be shared.
"I'm honored to be speaking during this inaugural event for ESA of Florida," Hoffman said. "The security industry in Florida is primed for growth, and I'm happy to be able to address companies looking to improve their businesses and serve their customers even better."
The event is open to both ESA members and non-members. Non-member registration is $35, while registration for ESA members is free. For more information, visit www.esaweb.org/event/ESAofFLDinner.
