Swann, maker of video surveillance products for the residential and light commercial markets, announced this week that it will begin offering installation services through a new partnership with InstallerNet.
Boston-based InstallerNet coordinates the installation of consumer and commercial electronics through a network of independent installers throughout the U.S. Through this partnership, the company will provide nationwide installation services for Swann’s products, which include wired and wireless security cameras, IP cameras, DVR-based surveillance systems, alarms, and door intercoms.
According to a statement, the partnership will provide users of Swann products with "instant access to installation support" and that installation services will be tailored to the customer’s specific needs. Though their products have traditionally catered to the do-it-yourself market, Swann Communications Vice President of Sales Guy Pithie said the company has discovered that there is a need for installation services among their customers.
"Our market research tells us there is untapped demand for our products from people that don’t have the time or perceive they don’t have the skill to do-it-themselves. InstallerNet will help us reach out to those consumers," he said.
