If recent reports were not enough of an indication, news this week that more than 150 new security companies will be attending next month’s ISC West show in Las Vegas prove that the electronic security industry is seeing tremendous growth.

According to a statement released by ISC West and the Security Industry Association, these new exhibitors include those participating in a pavilion of companies from the Door and Hardware Institute such as Akron Hardware, American Direct, Architectural Control System Inc. and Hager Companies. In addition, the Smart Card Alliance is also hosting an expanded pavilion at the show with companies such as Intercede, Quantum Secure, XTec and GET Group.

The SIA New Product Showcase has more than 80 entries this year, representing a 30 percent increase over 2012. In total, more than 1,000 manufacturers and service providers will be exhibiting on this year’s sold out tradeshow floor.

"ISC West provides security professionals with a timely opportunity to organize their business and security product needs for 2013," said Ed Several, senior vice president and general manager, ISC portfolio of events. "ISC West offers a first-hand glimpse of the industry's annual status and with more than 170 new companies bringing new technologies to the marketplace, it looks like 2013 will be a good year."
