Earlier this month, St. Louis-based security systems provider Hackett Security acquired Avery Security in Wentzville, Mo.
According to a statement, the acquisition of Avery, which has provided security services to both residential and commercial customers in the areas surrounding St. Charles, Troy, and Wentzville since 1999, will enable Hackett to grow its market share on a local and regional basis.
Avery Security is a family-owned business and its team has over 50 years of combined experience in security systems integration for the commercial, industrial and government construction markets.
"The Avery purchase represents our 18th acquisition in recent years," said Michael J. Hackett, CEO and president of Hackett Security. "Like other companies we have acquired, they have a strong client base and a solid 14-year history. We were especially attracted to them based on their work with commercial accounts in the St. Charles area, as well as residential accounts.
"The acquisition enables Hackett Security to continue our growth across the region by bringing video security, alarm, firm system and door access products, with UL-listed central monitoring station capabilities to more homes and businesses in the St. Louis area. This includes integration of our Z-wave technology, which allows our clients to connect and control their home or business intelligence from any mobile application or computer that is web enabled. We will continue to look for prime acquisition candidates as we add to and develop new markets."
