Company’s home security and automation offering now available in over 50 cities nationwide

Last week, AT&T launched its Digital Life home security and automation offering in seven additional markets across the country including Birmingham, Las Vegas, Louisville, Nashville, Raleigh, Richmond, and Tucson.

With these most recent roll outs, Digital Life is now available in 52 markets, surpassing the company’s previously stated goal to have the service offered in at least 50 markets by the end of the year.

Customers who purchase Digital Life can choose between two different security packages: "Simple Security," which features basic home security services, and "Smart Security," which offers a myriad of different service options – from video surveillance to total home automation. Those that opt for Smart Security can choose from number of different service packages including; video package (live video from inside and outside the home); energy package (remote control of appliances, lighting, and HVAC); door package (remote and automated control of door locks); and water package (detects water leaks within the home and can shut off water at the main source).

“A year ago, when AT&T announced it would enter the home security and automation industry, we knew we could shake up an industry ripe for innovation and give our customers a best in class experience,” Kevin Petersen, president for AT&T’s Digital Life wrote in his blog. “Digital Life surpassing its 50 market goal is amazing milestone and we’re looking forward to more launches and expansions across the country.”
