Woman charged with felony assault of nurses at Minn. hospital

Suspect reportedly lashed out when nurses attempted to administer medication

May 20--A Rochester woman has been charged with two felonies after an alleged assault on a pair of nurses last fall.

Danielle Marie Hall, 27, of 624 14th St. N.E., faces two counts of fourth-degree assault of hospital emergency personnel. Her first court appearance has been set for June 2.

The charges stem from an incident that was reported about 1 a.m. Sept. 29, when officers were sent to Saint Marys Hospital.

There, two nurses told them they'd been assaulted when they attempted to administer medication to Hall, who was a patient at the hospital.

Hall began kicking and swinging her arms and legs, the complaint says, then bit one of the nurses on the shoulder and kicked the other nurse in the thigh. Two security guards were eventually needed to restrain Hall.

If convicted, she faces a maximum of two years in prison, a $4,000 fine, or both.
