Hurricane cancels CSAA 2014 annual meeting in Bermuda

Oct. 17, 2014
Hurricane Gonzalo was projected to hit on what would have been the first day of the meeting

With violent winds of up to 145 mph, Hurricane Gonzalo continues on a path toward Bermuda as a Category 4 storm, which forced the Central Station Alarm Association to cancel its 2014 Annual Meeting in Bermuda - scheduled to start today.

"Our hotel has advised us that it is entering 'Hurricane Preparedness Status' and is expecting a hit," CSAA announced.

If you planned to attend, your hotel reservations at the Fairmont Southampton Bermuda will be automatically canceled if you made them using the CSAA room block. Others should contact the hotel directly at +1 441-238-8000. Contact your airline to inquire about air travel refunds or credits, as policies may differ depending on the airline and whether or not your flight is actually canceled.

There is still no word on when or if the 2014 annual meeting will be held. If you have any additional questions please contact the CSAA at 703-242-4670.
