Retired Maj. Gen. James 'Greg' Champion to present 'Leadership is a 24/7 Job'

The Electronic Security Expo (ESX) announced that Retired Maj. Gen. James ‘Greg’ Champion will deliver the opening keynote address at the conference, which is scheduled to take place June 24-26 in Baltimore.

According to a statement, Champion, who is one of the nation’s highest-ranking veterans, will share stories from both his civilian and military life as part of his presentation entitled, “Leadership is a 24/7 Job.”

"Security America Risk Retention Group (SARRG) is honored to once again sponsor the ESX Opening Keynote event. The past ESX keynote speakers have educated and inspired us over the years and I'm looking forward to learning from a true leader, U.S. Army Special Forces Officer Maj. Gen.  James 'Greg' Champion. Champion's career on and off the battlefield is incredibly impressive and we are so fortunate to have him as the ESX 2015 Opening Keynote presenter," said Mike Keegan, president of SARRG.

Champion will also share his experience as the first chairman of the Green Beret Foundation—a veteran service organization dedicated to providing resources to support the U.S. Army’s Green Berets and their families. ESX attendees will learn how they can support the Green Beret Foundation’s transition program The “Next Ridgeline,” which focuses on streamlining Green Beret veterans’ re-entry into civilian life. Green Berets will be on site at ESX to explain how companies and individuals can contribute by donating time or resources. Companies seeking new talent will be provided with the opportunity to conduct employment interviews with technology, operations, and security-savvy Green Berets.

Champion has over two decades of experience leading our nation’s elite Green Berets in peacetime as well as in the global war on terror. His many distinguished assignments include command of the Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force in Afghanistan in 2002 and 2003.

The ESX Opening Keynote will take place Thursday, June 25 at 11:30 a.m. at the Baltimore Convention Center. Visit www.ESXweb.com for more information.
