3xLOGIC acquires infinias access control products from Observint

Company expands its video, business intelligence and managed services to become a full solutions provider

3xLOGIC Inc., announced Thursday that it has acquired the access control product lines of infinias Inc from Observint Technologies. The deal closed on Feb. 27, and all related personnel and other moves were completed March 2. Financial details of the transaction were not released.

“This is an incredibly exciting time for us,” Matthew Kushner, CEO of 3xLOGIC, said in a statement. “We are already a leader in video products with our VIGIL VMS, and in business intelligence, data management and cloud-based services with the release of our VIGIL Trends software. Acquiring the infinias access control lines is a natural next step in our evolution to a full solutions provider.”

The combined company will have more than 120 employees, and will continue to conduct business in its multi-national locations: Westminster, Colo. (corporate headquarters), Indiana, Florida, Canada and China. In addition, 3xLOGIC is currently expanding into the European market with offices soon to be established in key strategic locations to support growth.

“Since the acquisition of infinias in September of 2012, the business has more than doubled in size,” Brian Wood, CEO of Observint, said in a statement. “This is a true testament to the value of the infinias solution. While Observint had very aggressive plans for infinias, we feel that 3xLOGIC offers an expansive platform that will accelerate the growth and continued development of infinias’ technology.”

“infinias’ cloud-based, integrated solution is a highly innovative, scalable product," Kushner said. "The company’s access control technology was the missing piece in our overall product offering, which previously consisted of video, business intelligence and managed services. Coupled with our cloud-based video solution, this acquisition means 3xLOGIC now will offer a fully integrated, scalable video and EAC cloud solution suited to small or mid-sized businesses and all the way up to those with multiple locations in the US and even around the world. Adding infinias to our product portfolio means we are now in the position to change the way the industry looks at access control and video.”

The sale allows Observint, parent to security solutions providers Supercircuits and Security Cameras Direct, to focus on developing the company’s DIGIOP branded video & data management platform, and growing the company’s core video business. Under the direction of President Mike Compton, DIGIOP will continue its focus on the retail sector, where the company already serves many of the largest franchises in North America.

3xLOGIC invites ISC West attendees to learn more about infinias and its products at its booth (#30056), April 15 – 17.
