RISCO Group, an Israeli company specializing in integrated security management systems, moved deeper into the access control market with the acquisition of Keyware, a Belgium-based company. The acquisition was announced on June 12.

Keyware brings a variety of hardware and software access systems to RISCO.

Moshe Alkelai, CEO and chairman of RISCO Group, said the acquisition helps expand RISCO's distribution channel in the European market that Keyware has penetrated, and also increases the availability of the Keyware brand through RISCO's current distribution channels.

Alkelai added that Keyware branches in Belgium, France and Switzerland will now also handle the RISCO Group’s brands like SynopSYS software, as well as intrusion systems from the Rokonet and GardTec brands.

In announcing the acquisition of Keyware, the RISCO Group said the company plans to continue investing in the Keyware access control line and will integrate the Keyware system into RISCO's software security management offerings.

The RISCO Group is online at www.riscogroup.com.
