Steve Surfaro joins Axis Communications

Axis Communications announced Tuesday that industry veteran Steve Surfaro has been named the company’s new strategic channel manager and industry liaison.
Prior to joining Axis, Surfaro worked for the past 12 years as a group manager and strategic technical liaison for Panasonic.
In his new role at Axis, Surfaro will work with industry organizations such as ASIS and SIA to "raise awareness" of network video solutions and will also work to expand Axis’ technology partnership program, according to a statement issued by the company.
Surfaro, who has more than 20 years experience in the security industry, is a member of the ASIS Physical Security Council and also serves as their education committee chairman. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the Cooper Union.
