C.O.P.S. Monitoring announced Tuesday that it has purchased the wholesale monitoring business of SA Systems, the parent company of Security Associates International.

More than 900 dealer contracts, which represent over 128,000 subscriber accounts, will subsequently be transferred to C.O.P.S. from SAI.

In a prepared statement, SAI President Ray Gross said that the move was part of the company’s strategy to focus more on providing services to the retail industry.

As a result of the acquisition, C.O.P.S. Monitoring now provides services to more than 3,100 dealers, who represent over 500,000 subscribers nationwide.
