Tyco International announced last week that it has acquired IntelliVid, a developer of retail focused video solutions. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
In a press release issued by the company, IntelliVid’s video analytics solutions, which include Video Investigator, Point of Sale (POS) Accelerators, and Computer Aided Tracking software, will be added to their American Dynamics portfolio of video products.
Don Lyman, vice president and general manager of Tyco’s access control and video systems business said in the statement that the acquisition marks continued investment by Tyco in the American Dynamics brand of video solutions and indicated that it would improve their product offerings in retail and other "key markets."
