IdentiSys, an integrator of identification, tracking and other security applications announced Wednesday that it has acquired Illinois-based CardSmart Systems, a reseller of ID card products.
According to a statement issued by IdentiSys, the purchase of CardSmart will allow the company to expand its sales and service operations throughout the Midwest and also gives it the ability to offer an extended lineup of products to its customers.
Retiring president and CEO of CardSmart Rick Stillwell said in the same statement that it was vital to ensure the “best acquisition fit” for the company and added that joining IdentiSys will only make CardSmart “stronger” and better equipped to provide products to its customers.
