Winsted releases WELS software update

MINNEAPOLIS, August 11, 2011 - Today, Winsted introduced Winsted Equipment Layout Software (WELS) version 3.7.3, the latest version of the company's easy-to-use, interactive 3D design tool. WELS v3.7.3 is available for FREE download at The update allows users to incorporate new product lines and work surfaces into designs.

WELS v3.7.3 includes Winsted's new Ascend Sit/Stand consoles, which feature electric-lift legs that enable operators to quickly and easily adjust the work surface height from 29 to 45 inches with the push of a button.

Winsted's new environmentally friendly Marmoleum work surface, has also been added and will be the new default work surface for the company's Sight-Line, Insight and Ascend consoles.

Winsted's Video Coast 2 Coast (VC2C) teleconference tables, which work in concert with Winsted's exclusive M-View monitor walls to create a complete videoconference array, have also been added to the latest version of WELS.

WELS allows users to easily create console designs and room layouts using products from Winsted's extensive product lines. This user-friendly tool provides full 3D design, parts lists, design specification sheets, and can export AutoCAD DWG files for 2D and 3D application.

WELS can be used out of the box - no training required or additional CAD programs or tools to purchase. WELS is a FREE program that is truly standalone. In WELS 3.7.3 users will be able to select monitor images for designs directly from an open dialog box.
