Channel Vision announces new access control door station

COSTA MESA, CA. USA – July 29, 2011 –Channel Vision, a leading manufacturer of technology for the Well-Connected Home, is pleased to announce the addition of its Access Control Door Stations (DS-3 Series) to its popular Front Door Intercom line. The DS-3 Series is a 3-gang door station that integrates a weather-resistant speaker/microphone, doorbell button, access control keypad and color camera into one entry unit.

Channel Vision’s DS-3 Series door stations feature an integrated access keypad, which can be used to open an entrance gate or electric door lock by simply typing in a code. These units are also designed to interface with a variety of telephone entry products to provide audio communication with front door visitors. Available in three configurations, installers can choose from models that can integrate seamlessly with Channel Vision’s telephone entry products, Channel Vision’s Whole-House CAT5 Intercom Hub, or Panasonics’s popular KSU phone systems. To provide the added security of video identification, an additional option of a hidden color camera is available.

By combining the Front Door Intercoms and cameras with a Channel Vision RF modulator or Video Web Server (sold separately), a complete residential audio/video access control package can be created. When using the optional color camera, the DS-3 can be integrated with other Channel Vision products to create a front door video surveillance system.
