iControl Networks names Robert Hagerty as its new CEO

Former co-CEOs Jim Johnson and Paul Dawes to remain in leadership positions with company

REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Sept. 28, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- iControl Networks, a leader in broadband home management, today announced the appointment of Robert (Bob) Hagerty as the company's new CEO.  As CEO, Hagerty will focus on product execution with iControl's existing customer and partner networks, as well as growing the company through new market and partnership opportunities.  Hagerty will replace co-CEOs Jim Johnson and Paul Dawes, both of whom will remain with iControl in leadership positions.

Hagerty comes to iControl with more than 35 years of experience in the technology industry. He most recently served as CEO of Polycom, a worldwide leader in video and voice conferencing, and web and data solutions. During his tenure at Polycom, Hagerty increased company revenue from $37 million to $1.1 billion through organic growth and key acquisitions, and held the lead unit market share in video and voice conferencing equipment.

Before joining Polycom, Hagerty held executive roles at several of the world's leading technology companies, including Digital Equipment Corporation, Conner Peripherals and Logitech, Inc.  Bob holds a Bachelor of Science degree in operations research and industrial engineering from the University of Massachusetts, and a master's degree in management from St. Mary's College of California. In addition to his Polycom board membership, Bob served on the board of directors for Palm, Inc. and Modulus, Inc. He currently serves on the boards of Smart Technologies, Inc. and Plantronics, Inc.
