System Sensor's CO1224TR CO detector recently received an ESX Maximum Impact Award.
St. Charles, IL (June 16, 2011) – The Electronic Security Expo (ESX) announced that the CO1224TR (round) Carbon Monoxide Detector with RealTest won this year’s ESX Maximum Impact Award (MIA) in the Alarm Equipment Fire/Smoke/Gas Detectors Category. This is the second MIA for the System Sensor CO detection line. The rectangular CO1224T won the award in 2009.
ESX notes, "the [MIA] awards, which showcase products and services that help security integration and monitoring companies meet their customer needs and grow their profits, place a critical perspective on the impact that new and recently introduced products and services have on security integration and monitoring businesses."
Winners were chosen by a panel drawn from the leadership of the Central Station Alarm Association (CSAA) and Electronic Security Association (ESA).
"The CO1224TR was specifically designed to expand the ability of security businesses to provide their customers with critical life safety protection from deadly CO gas," says Justin Mayer, System Sensor product manager for the Security Business Unit. "We’re honored that our CO1224T family of detectors has received this recognition."
The CO1224T and CO1224TR include RealTest – the first field functional CO test fully compliant with NFPA 720-2009. RealTest enables security professionals to quickly verify that the CO detectors they install are actually protecting customers. The CO1224T and CO1224TR also provide multiple mounting options and are quick and easy to install, test, and maintain. With a low current draw, the latest electrochemical sensing cell, and a six-year, end-of-life timer, the CO1224T and CO1224TR provide the most reliable protection available.
