Euresys debuts HDCCTV IP video encoder

Angleur (Liège), Belgium, September 15, 2011-Euresys's HDCCTV IP video encoder, which features four HDcctv inputs and delivers up to sixteen encoded streams, will be announced at ASIS. The HD4 combines all the advantages of high-definition video with the advantages of IP networking.

HDCCTV offers a larger viewing area to reduce the number of cameras required per installation. It provides sharper images, for improved performance in forensic situations. Video streams can be viewed, analyzed and stored anywhere on the IP network. Installation and maintenance costs are reduced by allowing the use of existing infrastructure (i.e. coaxial cabling).
The video data generated by high-definition must be compressed before transmitted over the IP network for analysis and storage. To manage this video data, the HD4 encodes four streams per camera input to meet the various platform, bandwidth and usage requirements. HD4 features a high-speed Ethernet LAN interface of up to 1 GB/s data transfer. It offers several network security protocols including HTTPS and encrypted SSL/TLS network protocols. HD4 is designed for simple integration into video surveillance systems: its API is compliant with ONVIF 2.0. Options include alarm inputs, relay outputs, audio lines and a 19-inch rack mount.
