The National Fire Protection Association presented three awards this week at its annual conference to recognize achievements in fire and life safety.
Wayne D. Holmes, retired vice president of HSB Professional Loss Control, received the Standards Medal for his contributions to NFPA technical committees.
The Duke University/Duke Health System Fire & Safety Division was recognized with the 2010 Industrial Fire Protection Section Fire Prevention Week Award for their efforts in promoting fire and related safety messages during Fire Prevention Week last year.
The 2011 Fire Protection Research Foundation Medal, which recognizes projects that best exemplify the Fire Protection Research Foundation’s mission, was awarded to Antifreeze Solutions in Home Fire Sprinkler Systems.
