HES' new 8500 Series concealed electric strike.
PHOENIX, AZ (August 30, 2011) — HES, Inc. announces the release of the 8500 Series, the first concealed electric strike for mortise locksets. Its innovative, yet simple, labor-saving design requires no cutting of the frame under normal installation. The result is fast, easy installation with a smooth finish.
The HES 8500 Series electric strike is a high-quality access control solution for mortise locks, which are used widely in commercial applications. The versatile 8500 features a single model that works with ¾" mortise latchbolts with deadlatches in most every position. Strong and durable, the 8500 electric strike features ANSI/BHMA A156.31 Grade 1 Strength and a UL10C 3-hour fire rating when used with a single door.
"Installing an electric strike for mortise locksets used to be complicated and required significant cutting into door frames. HES just reset the standard and raised the bar by providing a concealed electric strike for mortise locksets that features fast, labor-saving installation with no frame cutting," says Tamara Hatzinger, Director of Brand Management.
The HES 8500 electric strike will be featured in the ASSA ABLOY booth at the ASIS trade show in Orlando, Florida, September 19-22, 2010.
