ESX launches NexTech Zone

New exhibit area will focus on automation, networking and A/V products

September 7, 2011 - The Electronic Security Expo (ESX) will launch the NexTech Zone at ESX 2012, an exhibit area within the event dedicated to automation, networking and A/V products for residential and light commercial applications.

The NexTech Zone will host 25 exhibiting companies seeking to connect with security integration companies who are expanding into new product categories and developing recurring revenue models around them.

"The industry is experiencing a dramatic shift, with home automation, networking and A/V becoming increasingly important for security integration companies," says Merlin Guilbeau, executive director of the Electronic Security Association (ESA). "With the new NexTech Zone, ESX will provide information and education about these new opportunities."

In addition to the NexTech Zone, ESX will offer a mini-track of NexTech seminars, focused on how to create and sell recurring revenue based approaches to home and building automation, networking and A/V.

"With security giants like ADT and Vivint leading this new trend, it’s crucial that security integration companies large and small educate themselves and stay ahead of the curve," says Guilbeau.

According to research from ESA, which owns ESX along with the Central Station Alarm Association (CSAA), security integration companies expect to grow their total home automation installations 145% between 2011 and 2013, with HVAC control growth projected to grow 280%, energy information systems an astounding 415% and even better established categories like structured wiring and distributed audio growing at a 40-100% clip.

Priced at $4,000, a 10'x10’ exhibit space in the NexTech Zone comes bundled with product promotion opportunities valued at more than $1,300 and is packaged priced for better than 25% savings.

Sponsorship opportunities are limited to 25 companies and must be booked by December 31, 2011. To sponsor the NexTech Zone and support the biggest, best and most progressive security integration companies, contact Jessica DaCosta at jdacosta@ae-ventures.com or 508-618-4226.

The Electronic Security Expo (ESX) will return to the location of its birth in 2012, as the education and networking event for security integration and monitoring companies heads back to the Nashville Convention Center. Its schedule includes association meetings running June 25-29, with ESX conference sessions June 26-28 and the ESX show floor open June 27-28.
