John B. Hinmon joins Cross Match Technologies

Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. May 9, 2011 – Cross Match Technologies, Inc., a global provider of biometric identity solutions, announced today that John B. Hinmon has joined the company as vice president of marketing, with additional responsibilities relating to the company’s mergers and acquisitions activities.

Hinmon joins Cross Match from the Safran Group (Paris: SAF) subsidiary Vectronix Inc., a leading provider of multi-function integrated electro-optics, laser range finding and north finding technologies for the U.S. departments of defense and homeland security. At Vectronix he served as vice president of sales and marketing, and was responsible for U.S. sales channel development, introduction of new product development processes, and realignment of marketing efforts.

Prior to Vectronix, Hinmon held product management and commercial leader roles with HD Supply’s Interiors business unit as the operation integrated eight legacy acquisitions. He spent eight years with GE Capital Services’ Trailer Fleet Services and Modular Space businesses as business development manager, responsible for multiple acquisitions and dispositions, and as the national product manager for the GE Imagination Breakthrough, VeriWise – a satellite based asset tracking service.

Before joining GE, Hinmon was with International Strategy Services, Incorporated, a New York City based M&A advisory and market consultancy specializing in the Portuguese-speaking world. He supported a variety of Fortune 500 and international clients’ strategic planning, acquisition and disposition initiatives. Hinmon began his career as a management consultant with Ernst & Young.

A graduate of the E.C. Robins School of Business at the University of Richmond, Hinmon has a bachelor of science degree in business administration, with a concentration in marketing and management.
