National Burglar and Fire Alarm Association (NBFAA) Past President Henry John Poile passed away earlier this week due to complications from pneumonia, according to a statement released by the organization.
Poile, who served in World War II, was the owner and president of Kedzie Kane Alarm from 1959 until 1972, when he sold the company to Honeywell.
Poile’s son David, who was his father’s caregiver for the last year and a half, said that his father put up a good fight, but finally succumbed to the illness on Sunday.
A visitation wake will be held Wednesday, Dec. 16, at Gibbons-Elliston Funeral Home located in Hinsdale, Ill. Poile’s funeral will be held Thursday, Dec. 17 at Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church in Clarendon Hills, Ill.
