Tracey Hups joins Pixim

Former PSA Security Network exec to oversee company's marketing communications


MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.- March 24, 2009- Pixim, a leading provider of image capture technology for enterprise security cameras, announced the hire of industry veteran Tracey Hups as manager, worldwide marketing communications. In this newly created position, Hups will be responsible for Pixim's worldwide marketing communications program including media relations, collateral creation, advertising, branding, web presence, and events. She will report to John Monti, vice president of marketing and business development, Pixim.

Hups most recently was director of marketing and customer relations for PSA Security Network, where she was responsible for the development, management, and implementation of marketing communication programs designed to increase membership and brand awareness. Additionally, Hups was responsible for two annual five-day events and had direct management of the PSA customer service department. PSA is the world's largest electronic security cooperative, whose members are responsible for more than $1.8 billion of annual electronic security and life safety installations.

"Tracey brings a solid history of program execution and well-rounded marketing knowledge to Pixim, with the vast majority of her experience in the security industry," explains Monti. "She has a proven ability to manage and oversee multiple, broad-based projects, a capability which will be the key to her success at Pixim."

In 1994, Hups joined PSA as manager of marketing services. Her diligence and attention to detail was rewarded, and she was promoted to positions within the company with increased levels of responsibility. By 2007, Hups was part of the executive management team and reported directly to the company CEO. As corporate secretary, she was an officer of the company and was charged with keeping an accurate account of the affairs of the organization.

While at PSA, Hups developed a project management system to ensure completion of multiple projects by required deadlines, improved the effectiveness of PSA's email campaigns, and implemented successful branding programs for the company and both of its signature events. Additionally, she reorganized PSA's customer service department resulting in significant improvement in the service PSA was providing to its customers. Prior to PSA, Hups worked as marketing communications specialist for PepsiCo Food Systems.

Hups received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from the University of Colorado. She is an active member of the Business Marketing Association.
