Dayton, Ohio—(Jan. 5, 2009)—Bruce Canal, C.P.P., a former consultant and security director with 30 years industry experience, has been named Senior Director of Operations for Matrix Systems, a Dayton, Ohio-based turnkey access control and security solutions provider.
Canal’s responsibilities include coordinating relations between Matrix project managers and clients, while also maximizing customer services from an operational standpoint. Canal’s experience in physical and procedural policy security broadens Matrix into a comprehensive security provider.
Canal is a former Corporate Director of Security for Redcats, a New York-based clothing manufacturer/catalogue/retailer with factories and 500-plus stores in 12 states. He is also formerly president of Canal Consulting Inc., Indianapolis, Ind., a security consulting firm serving the K-12 school, library and government building categories. In addition to 12 years of security industry experience, Canal also served the Indiana State Police for 18 years, and has a B. S. in Criminal Justice from Indiana University and a M.B.A. from Indiana Wesleyan University.
