Jan. 5, 2009
New access control software provides users with new features

Oakland, CA – December 16, 2008 - Reach Systems announces the release of ReachNet Version 2.4, available on January 6, 2009. This major new release delivers many powerful new features including a Central Station View, which allows central stations to easily manage accounts from many different dealers and system integrators. This central station workspace includes easy-to-navigate sections for Monitoring, Management, Reporting, and Setup. This view will give the central station the ability to offer more value-added services to the dealer/integrator, beyond standard alarm receiver management.

Another key feature in version 2.4 allows IP controllers to securely communicate over port 80, taking the guesswork out of trying to figure out which ports are open when installing a panel at a new location. Version 2.4 also includes a number of UI enhancements that make the application easier to navigate and use. The usability improvements also make it easy to customize the view based on user privileges.

As part of Reach Systems’ philosophy of continuous product improvement, version 2.4 includes functionality and performance updates that allow for easier network setup and usability.
