LAS VEGAS--LENSEC, a pioneer in enterprise security solutions, will introduce its next-generation Perspective Video Management Solution this week at ISC West. Built on Microsoft's Silverlight® platform, Perspective VMS™ offers a rich Internet application with a completely web-enabled interface. LENSEC technical experts and leadership will provide reporters with an in-booth briefing (5041) at 3:30 p.m. PDT on Wednesday, April 6 and 10:15 a.m. on Thursday, April 7.
“We make security expandable, scalable and affordable.”
Later this summer, LENSEC will debut an iPad application offering a similar user experience to the Perspective software. An Android version will also be available later this year in the Android Market.
“With this new application, we are helping an increasingly mobile security workforce securely and conveniently access both live video and archive events for any camera in their enterprise,” says David Crawford , LENSEC CEO. “At LENSEC, we pride ourselves on anticipating client needs and combining proven technologies with the latest advances to provide easy-to-use, adaptable solutions. This is a great example of how we deliver on customer service.”
The iPad and Android mobile applications will also allow users to send and receive alerts with other users of the Perspective video management platform, allowing for real-time collaboration and response to security events.
Perspective is a smart-client system, which means it can operate on any computer without the intrusive installation of thick-client software. A true cloud solution, Perspective enables businesses to manage remote operations from a central command point or headquarters.
Collaboration and situational awareness
Perspective VMS™ enables real-time collaboration, allowing security professionals to share video views and text. With remote video surveillance, first responders and operators can analyze fields of view for unusual activity and take proactive measures to maintain safety while rapidly investigating post-incident scenes.
The secure Internet application provides flexibility in a wired, wireless or remote environment, enabling a flexible security workforce. Perspective combines customizable map-based situational awareness with intuitive forensic archive management so security personnel can view events from all perspectives.
The product's easy-to-operate user interface places functions in convenient locations. Frequent use of graphics and visuals—including overlays, video thumbnails, maps, and pop-ups—familiarize users to the intuitive design. At the same time, administrators and technical staff appreciate its diagnostic alerts, user and component reporting, and open architecture platform for integrating future hardware and software devices and systems.
“We specialize in helping customers get the highest return on their network investment by tying disparate components together into a common user interface,” says Crawford . “We make security expandable, scalable and affordable.”
Partnering for success
