VideoIQ wins 'Best in Analytics' award at ISC West

Company’s iCVR-HD solution recognized with SIA New Product Showcase award

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (April 13, 2011) – VideoIQ was honored with the Best in Video Analytics Award at the SIA New Product Showcase at ISC West 2011 for its iCVR-HD integrated High Definition camera and recorder.

VideoIQ’s iCVR-HD cameras are revolutionary systems that deliver full high-definition analytics, full 1080p high-definition video, zero bandwidth recording, and support for IQTrack - automatic digital PTZ zoom and track. VideoIQ's embedded, patented adaptive analytics are 100% self-calibrating, eliminating the need to tune or adjust the analytics during installation, and uniquely distinguish people, vehicles and boats from other objects, animals and scene movement to deliver the highest accuracy in the category, in all weather and lighting conditions. Additionally, each iCVR-HD has its own onboard NVR with up to a half terabyte of storage, eliminating the need for expensive central storage and separate high capacity networks -- reducing deployment costs, system complexity and infrastructure.

The New Product Showcase (NPS), sponsored by the Security Industry Association (SIA), is held annually in conjunction with ISC West at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas to recognize the best security product innovations.

"We’re honored that VideoIQ’s analytics technology has once again taken home an SIA New Product Showcase Award from ISC West," said Scott Schnell, president and CEO of VideoIQ. "The security industry has seen significant advancements in video surveillance over the past year, and VideoIQ is proud to have the iCVR-HD be recognized for its unique High-Definition benefits."

This year’s competition included 85 new products and services. The NPS judging took place on April 5, 2011 with 20 judges representing various segments of the industry viewing presentations by entrants. Judges also reviewed written materials submitted by the entrants and, in many cases, visited the ISC West booths of the entrants to study the products more closely.

"Seeing the latest security solutions at the New Product Showcase is one of the best parts of ISC West," SIA CEO Richard Chace said. "The Security Industry Association congratulates each of the winners for their industry-leading approaches to enhancing safety and thanks all of the competitors for participating in the NPS and, more importantly, for helping to move security technology forward."
