ATLANTA, Nov. 3, 2009 - Security services and integration firm Niscayah announced this week that Hakan Kirstein will succeed Juan Vallejo as president and CEO of the company.
Though he will begin working at the company later this month, Kirstein will not officially assume his new role until March. Vallejo will remain as president and CEO until the end of February.
In a prepared statement, Jorma Halonen, chairman of the board at Niscayah, said that Kirstein’s experience leading companies undergoing change combined with his personality and leadership qualities convinced the company’s board that he was right person for the job moving forward.
Prior to joining Niscayah, Kirstein worked at StatoilHydro Group, an international energy company, for the past 14 years. Kirstein was managing director of StatoilHydro in Sweden from 2005 to 2009. Before that, he also held other executive level positions, such as managing director of Statoil Detaljist AB. Kirstein holds a degree in business administration from Stockholm University.
