LENOIR CITY, TN, April 6, 2011 - Yale Locks & Hardware, an ASSA ABLOY Group company and a world leader in door hardware for residential and commercial applications, has introduced its first locks specifically designed to integrate seamlessly into the digital home. The locks will be displayed at the upcoming ISC West Show in Las Vegas, NV, April 6-8, 2011.
These new deadbolts are the first products in the Yale Real Living portfolio of home control and security solutions. Available in both durable acrylic touchscreen or simple, elegant, tamper-resistant keypad, Yale's new platform of intelligent locks supports both Z-Wave and ZigBee, allowing them to integrate seamlessly into a wide range of home control and security systems.
Regardless of the home control system employed, users will have access to a high degree of functionality, including the ability to lock and unlock doors from web-enabled devices or create customized entry scenes for family members, neighbors and guests.
Features of the new locks include voice assisted programming in English, Spanish and French; personalized access-control scenes for up to 250 users; and access to all user programmable settings via select user interfaces. The new intelligent locks offer an elegant, next-generation access control solution for the home’s entryways and protected interior doors to make everyday living easier and safer.While pricing is not yet finalized, the lock, which will be available in Spring 2011, is expected to sell for a retail price of between $200-$400. These products will be available through selected home integration professionals.
At ISC West, Yale will also officially announce a new partnership with Alarm.com, the industry-leading technology provider of interactive security solutions. This relationship will allow Yale's Real Living locks to fully integrate with Alarm.com's emPower, a feature-rich home automation and energy management solution that gives homeowners complete remote control of critical systems at their property with any web-enabled computer or mobile device. The Yale Real Living locks will be displayed in the Alarm.com booth, as well as in the ASSA ABLOY booth (#11067).
This partnership is in addition to Yale's existing relationships with Control4 and Z-Wave, recognized leaders in home automation systems.
