Panasonic's new WV-CF504 Fixed Dome Analog Camera.
LAS VEGAS, NV (April 6, 2011) – Panasonic System Networks Company of America today introduced the new WV-CF504 Fixed Dome Analog Camera, featuring the company’s innovative Super Dynamic 5 technology for superior images in a variety of operating environments. Panasonic Super Dynamic 5 technology merges Super Dynamic, Adaptive Black Stretch (ABS), Intelligent Video Motion Detection (i-VMD) and Auto Back Focus (ABF) technologies to provide new and improved functionality and image quality.
“The WV-CF504’s combination of rich technologies address common installation challenges, which will make it the dome camera of choice for system designers and installers,” said Bill Taylor, President, Panasonic System Networks Company of America. “Security personnel will also appreciate the extreme clarity and vivid color reproduction captured by the WV-CF504. It’s a culmination of Panasonic core technologies that have helped us build a reputation for innovative leadership in video surveillance camera design and engineering.”
The WV-CF504 high resolution camera can record up to 650 lines of resolution in color and 700 lines in black and white and features a signal-to-noise ratio of 50 dB. The day/night high sensitivity function permits operation in as low as 0.1 lux (color) and .01 lux in b/w at f1.4 (wide); and the three-dimension color conversion function delivers natural color reproduction in low color temperature situations. An I/R cut filter switches on/off to enhance sensitivity in B/W mode.
The camera’s i-VMD functions include video motion detection, object detection (removal and left behind) and scene change detection when lens is covered, spray painted, removed or de-focused. Adaptive digital noise reduction technology integrates 2D-DNR and 3D-DNR to ensure cleaner images in changing or various lighting conditions. The WV-CF504 is equipped with a 3.8 – 8.0mm 2x varifocal auto iris lens with 2x digital zoom; and the ABF features help to ensure a more stable focus in both color and B/W modes. An auto image stabilizer helps maintain picture stability where vibration or wind is an issue.
Installation of the camera is made easier and more convenient with a three-way hinge (horizontal, vertical and swivel rotation) and various mounting options (surface mount and embedded ceiling mount). Additionally, over-the-coax cable data communication and internal/line-lock/multiplexed vertical drive (VD2) synchronization add to the camera’s ease of installation and operation.
