FAIRPORT, N.Y.(April 1, 2011) -- Bosch Security Systems, Inc., working with Wyless Group, is providing customers with cellular network services for their Bosch alarm systems. Wyless is a global machine to machine network services company specializing in data applications over tier one cellular providers. With this launch, Bosch is offering customers cellular service in the United States, through Wyless national GSM partnerships, for use with control panels equipped with the ITS-DX4020-G GPRS/GSM Communicator.
The ITS-DX4020-G enables Bosch control panels to support secure, supervised GSM/GPRS communications to Conettix central station equipment, and its flexible polling options allow dealers and integrators to meet a wide variety of customer requirements. It can be used as a supervised primary communications path for customers transitioning away from conventional phone service or as a wireless backup path.
With the new cellular network services, dealers and integrators can register for a variety of plans, including full reporting and remote programming capabilities for Bosch control panels. As part of the service plans, customers also have the ability to view account information and monitor data usage through an online management portal.
This new service is the first in a series of cellular network offerings that Bosch will make available to dealers and integrators in 2011.
