Lenel Introduces goEntry

LAS VEGAS, ISC West, Booth # 21061, April 1, 2009 — Small- to mid-sized businesses can now purchase a simplified card-reader security system to control access to their buildings. goEntry, a stand-alone system that requires no servers, is from Lenel Systems International Inc. Lenel is part of UTC Fire & Security, a unit of United Technologies Corp.

goEntry™ is designed for use by those with no prior access-control experience. The goEntry™ software is embedded in a single control unit, eliminating the need for a dedicated computer. Facility managers can set up and operate the system using password-protected browser software that they can access from any networked computer running Windows® Internet Explorer 7.0.

A goEntry™ system can control up to 16 card readers (doors). It accommodates up to 500 cardholders (users), displays up to 5,000 events, and offers centralized system management, event monitoring in real time, photo ID import and the ability to create access levels and schedules. Should security needs grow beyond what goEntry offers, a business can migrate to an OnGuard® integrated security system while preserving the goEntry™ data and initial hardware investment.

“Access control in a user-friendly package with lots of features is what small-to-medium sized businesses are looking for,” said Ryan S. Fosegan, Lenel’s product manager for access control. “goEntry gives these customers what they want, and a reliable way to grow the system in the future.”

Systems can be purchased either as bundled packages that include the goEntry control unit hardware, software, card readers and cards, or as individual components. goEntry™ is being sold through Lenel’s global network of authorized value-added resellers.
