Infinova announces new economy 4-channel DVR

V3009 features H.264 compression technology and support for up to four SATA disks


Monmouth Junction, NJ, Oct. 10, 2009 -- Infinova announces its new V3009 4L an economy 4-channel digital video recorder (DVR) that supports CIF resolution. The V3009 4L is a cost-effective digital security product featuring H.264 compression technology with the capacity to support up to four serial ATA (SATA) hard disks.

The new DVR is part of Infinova' s V3009 family of video recorders, together with the new 4-channel version there are additional models supporting 8- and 16-channels. All V3009 models support CIF resolution with video input looping and are available either with a DVD (V3009W) or without a DVD (V3009A).

The V3009 embedded DVR can work independently at a local site, or as part of a powerful security surveillance network. Security operators can view and control live and recorded images across the network, remote access and control functions are managed through user access levels. Typical applications would be Bank, Telecom, Power Station, Judicial Administration, Traffic, Residential Community, Factory, Warehouse, Water Conservancy Facility and in other environments.

Infinova's V3009 family of embedded DVRs utilize the VxWorks operating system with a digital signal processor (DSP) and function as both DVRs and Digital Video Servers. The V3009 family employs H.264 compression technology, supporting 4, 8 or 16 video input channels and 4, 8 or 16 video output channels with looping. Each model features real-time compression of video/audio signals, compression code stream recording, video/audio signal switching, local recorded file playback, network transmission and alarm in/out.

All models support SATA hard disks for storage and have a universal serial bus (USB) port for flash disks, USB hard disks and USB writers.
